Grid Structure

Grid structures are spatial structures formed by connecting multiple members at nodes in a specific grid pattern. Common shapes for space trusses include triangular cones, triangular bodies, cubes, truncated pyramids, and others. Connections between members are typically achieved using bolt ball joints, welded ball joints, or similar methods.

Large-span space grid structures are frequently employed in the roofing of bulk yards. These structures offer several advantages, including rational load distribution, lightweight construction, and cost-effectiveness. They can effectively utilize the properties of various materials and adapt to the stress requirements of diverse working conditions.

Towers and Trestles

Steel supporting towers are an integral part of high-rise steel structures and can be customized to suit specific project requirements. Tower structures can be designed to accommodate various conditions encountered in silo projects.

The trestle, located at the top of the silo, serves as a mounting point for chutes, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, and other auxiliary silo equipment. Truss structures are commonly employed for structural support in towers and trestles.

Truss structures are planar structures that require base support and external forces to maintain stability. They are characterized by their one-way stress system and lattice beam configuration.

Advantages:

  • Lightweight and Economical: Truss structures have a low self-weight, reducing steel consumption and saving costs.

  • Large Span and High Bending Resistance: They can span large distances and exhibit excellent resistance to bending.

  • Simple Stress System and Ease of Construction: The stress system is straightforward, facilitating construction.

  • Prefabrication and On-Site Assembly: Truss structures can be prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site, accelerating construction timelines.

  • Reduced Construction Time: Prefabrication and efficient on-site assembly significantly shorten construction durations.
